OUR PASTOR
Pastor Marie Burgess Livingstone accepted Christ as her personal Savior very early in life at Fuller Street, under the leadership of her parents, Pastors Joshua and Lizzie Burgess.
Through the years she has held many positions in the church which included, youth and adult choir member, church secretary, praise and worship leader, and Chairperson of the Youth & Young Adult Ministries.
Pastor Livingstone was educated in the Wake County School System. She graduated from Needham Broughton High School in 1973, and received a B.A. Degree in Business Management and a Minor in Spanish from North Carolina State University in 1977.
Pastor Livingstone is married to her husband of 41 years, Clarence E. Livingstone, from St. John's Antgua, West Indies; and they have one loving son, David A. Livingstone. She and her family reside in a quite community in north Raleigh.
A love for reading and knowledge are two of the many characteristics Pastor Livingstone is noted for among family and those that know her well. The study of God’s Word has always been a dominant part of her life; and to her studies she has mixed faith and prayer, becoming a prayer warrior for the church.
Her devotion and attentiveness to God and the work of the kingdom led to her call to the ministry in the year 2000, under the leadership of Pastor L. M. Burgess. She served well as the Pastor's Assistant and later as the Interim Pastor throughout the illness of Pastor L. M. Burgess. She was proven to be trust worthy of preaching and teaching God’s Word while always endeavoring to be found in His will.
In 2013, Pastor Livingstone became Senior Pastor at Fuller Street, having already shown true leadership abilities and a love for the church. Pastor Livingstone continues to preach the unadulterated Word of God with clarity, understanding, and God’s anointed presence - blessing the church in each Sunday’s service.
