Blessing the Poor, the Hungry & the Children
Isaiah 58:6-11 (KJV)
[6] "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
[7] Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
[8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
[9] Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

[10] And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
[11] And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
Mark 10:13-16 (KJV)
[13] "And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
[14] But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
[15] Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
[16] And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Blessing Our Widows & the Sick

Widows are called to give out of their limited resources. We are called by love to bless and support them. Not because they are destitue, but because they are among those that the gospel tells us, how we treat them is a true sign of our religion.
James 1:27 - "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Livingstone is originally from St. John's and knows of the financial hardships the teachers and Principal of this school face just to keep the doors open. Shiloh Community Church's Food Pantry

Proverbs 19:17 - He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Christ said the poor we would have with us always. Therefore, there is alway opportunity for us to show love and compassion for those among us, in our communities.

Providence Assistive Living

Providence provides supportive services to individuals who can function independently in most areas of activity, but need assistance and/or monitoring to assure safety and well being. Fuller Street helps provide the residents there with personal hygiene items, clothing, blanks and other items to let them know someone cares for them. We currently have family members residing at Providence.
